Seer and the Saints

She thought she’d lost her mind, like a clock ticking for time
Sentenced to see by the eyes of time, they’d sing to her in whispered sighs
Be our eyes, awaken the blind!

Chorus;
Pleasure without Lust
Passion without Rust
We know them by their Play
Seer and the Saints.

These are the Saints of our Day. Hidden in the notes they play
through waves of sound like the beat of a drum
We made them a promise. To bring them  back to life
from their sleeping state once we found ourselves awake
You see their light draws in a crowd, whenever they sing their songs
They feed the poor and med the sick, dig wells for life with their guitar pics

Chorus;
Pleasure without Lust
Passion without Rust
We know them by their Play
Seer and the Saints.

Saints of a new day,  singing for a new way, moving like holy men
In a holy war you can only hear
You see their light draws in a crowd when ever they sing out loud
They feed the poor and med the sick dig wells for life with their guitar pics
Bono, Sting and all the rest who take their riches and give it back
Not a government or lord. Ordinary men with extraordinary power.
The light of a higher law brought them to where they are.
But it’s not just them you’re in it too. It’s the ticket to the show that makes it grow.

Chorus;
Pleasure without Lust
Passion without Rust
We know them by their Play
Seer and the Saints.
